About Thomas Walenta

Thomas Walenta has over 50 years of experience in project and program management, including 36 years in leadership roles and 21 years managing programs. At IBM, he led complex initiatives across industries and continents, including SAP rollouts, outsourcing, and PMO setups. A PMI member since 1992, he volunteered extensively—serving as Frankfurt Chapter President and PMI Board Director and receiving the prestigious PMI Fellow Award in 2012. He’s a global speaker, published author, and mentor to professionals worldwide. Since 2001, he has run his consultancy and taught at universities, contributing to the profession through leadership, ethics, and strategic advisory roles.
